Whatever concern is bringing you to counseling now – anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, or relationship issues – we will work together to establish new tools for self-awareness, growth and healing. Through my training in Somatic Experiencing, I believe that tracking the sensations is one’s body is just as important as exploring our thoughts and emotions. We will work at a pace and in a way that is comfortable for you so that you can feel safe and secure in the session.
I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. After graduating in 2011, I worked at the Cancer Support Community counseling individuals and couples with cancer and also the family members of those with cancer. This experience provided me with a better understanding of the issues of pain, illness, loss and grief and how they impact the individual and the entire family. I’ve also provided counseling to elementary school-aged children to help them gain new coping skills, and deal with difficulties more productively.
As a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I’m working under the supervision of Scott Bonnel (MFT 43344). I currently work with individuals and couples, children and teenagers and will offer a sliding scale, if needed.
